Fantasy Agile Planning

Introduction

Don't guess the effort involved in work tasks, divinate them with Fantasy Agile Planning!  Agile Planning is a gamified, consensus based, technique used to estimate the effort necessary to complete goals for work. This is done for each task in your backlog that is scheduled for the sprint.

These 88 cards, fantasy-themed, effort divination set contains 7 decks for everyone involved in task development.  Each deck contains 12 cards with Fibonacci-styled values of 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 50, 100, ?, and Zzz.  The backs of each deck have different patterns and gems to easily tell them apart.  Since it is dangerous to go alone, rules are printed on 4 cards.

Fantasy Appeal

The fun part of fantasy, effort values is that they are monsters. Gain experience by slaying or breaking them down.  If you slay enough of them, you level up and gain prestigious titles like, Giant Slayer, Dragon Slayer, and God Slayer, for example.  Forge your path and gain renown! (Renown is not included in the box.)

Objective

The objective is to assess the amount of effort it takes to complete a task while taking into consideration as many of the variables as possible, relying on your teammates experience, and knowledge of everyone involved.

Winning the game

Everyone wins when the Team completes the work within the specified sprint.

How to Play

The game is played in turns with each task in priority order until there are no more tasks to plan.  In a turn a player chooses a task, explains the effort involved, discusses the task in an open forum with others, everyone votes on the perceived effort, the player assesses the results, and gains consensus with everyone about the effort involved.
